Under 18s Policy
All children using Awesome Walls without an Awesome Walls instructor must have filled in a membership form.
Children aged 5 years or under are able to use Awesome Walls when they are directly supervised by a parent/guardian and the parent has the appropriate knowledge of climbing to do this safely.
From the age of 6 years and over children can either be supervised by an experienced parent/guardian as above or be supervised by an Awesome Walls climbing instructor within a taster session or group session. Additionally they can also take part in sessions run by a registered external instructor. Children under the age of 14 can belay other under 14s only (not adults).
From the age of 14 years and over experienced youngsters may use the centre unsupervised if a parent/guardian has filled in a membership from and the youngster has been checked by an Awesome Walls staff member. Under 16s are not allowed to lead belay without supervision.
