Prepare for something truly inspirational...

In July 2015, led by Mark McGowan and Colin Gourlay, a team of paraclimbers successfully summited the infamous Eiger in Switzerland.

Paraclimbers Jay Owen who is autistic, John Churcher who has 3% vision, and Alex Taylor who has MS took on the Eiger Mountain, assisted by Mark and Colin, to raise awareness of what can be achieved in adventure, despite disability. Their journey was wrought with challenges and the team were required to constantly adapt and innovate new approaches to ensure their success.

This profound tale of human connection and determination will challenge your perception of disability and the limitations of mountaineering.

Awesome Walls Sheffield are hosting A World’s First Expedition Lecture: THE EIGER PARACLIMB on 24th February and Awesome Walls Liverpool will be hosting a second showing on February 25th February at Liverpool Cathedral.
