Manager - Stoke

Worked at AWCC for: Since 2009, Still loving it, best job!!

Favourite crag: Tough choice!! Either Wilton 3, Brownstones, or Burbage.

Best climbing experience: It's split between either DWS in Majorca, climbing in Switzerland or my first multi-pitch in Wales - we climbed through a cloud :)

Odds of competing in the Olympics: I'm a dab hand at the Bobsleigh ;-) 

Best experience at AWCC: Having had the opportunity to help build, and work opening weekends at Stoke, Dublin and Sheffield Awesome Walls. Helping shape the future of the sport is pretty rewarding too!

When I'm not climbing I.. Working, Mountain Biking, Photography, All things DIY, Hanging out with friends and occasionally a little console gaming - COD!

Favourite drink: RUM - Darker the better though I do enjoy Dzama Vieux - Drinking Rum before 10am doesn't make you an alcoholic - It makes you a Pirate! ARGHHH!

Best experience at AWCC: Any time I see someone complete a problem I've set.

When I'm not climbing I...spend time with my fiancée and daughter and play Roller Hockey.

Favourite crag: Either looking out from below Dinas Mot or the Roaches where I learnt to climb.

Best climbing experience: Spending 3 weeks sleeping in our van, climbing perfect granite with my girlfriend.

Odds of competing in the Olympics: None.

Best experience at AWCC: Anytime I see someone finish one of my boulder problems with a smile on their face.

When I'm not climbing I... am training, thinking about climbing my projects or sleeping.

Favourite drink: A cold bottle of Erdinger, or a strong latte with a huge piece of cake!

Favourite crag: I can't pick just one! But I love climbing in Spain and Siurana or El Chorro are perfect examples of beautiful climbing destinations <3

Best climbing experience: the climbing trip to Polish Jura in 2015. Great people, beautiful routes, and fantastic weather. 

Odds of competing in the Olympics: Haha, nice try ;)

Best experience at AWCC: I do love great, back wall in Sheffield AWCC, but I was always only admiring other climbers. One day, I pushed myself to the limits and tried it. That was it! The best AWCC climbing experience EVER! 

When I'm not climbing I... sleep or eat. I am the reincarnation of Garfield.

Favourite drink: flat white! Definitely! #coffeeaddict

When I'm not climbing I... Work for an Armed Forces Charity that enables children and young people to achieve their best potential in life.

Favourite drink: Tea and leave the bag in please although I am partial to a good malt whisky.

Favourite crag: Various crags at Tremadog in North Wales (for reliable rock) or anything on the north face of Ben Nevis (for amazing winter climbs).

Best climbing experience: Putting up two new routes and completing two first ascents in the Stauning Alps, Greenland.

Odds of competing in the Olympics: Given my propensity for injuries...pretty slim.

Best experience at AWCC: Providing an introductory session for two brothers who enjoyed it so much they keep coming back and have even brought their family. It's all about developing our community!

When I'm not climbing I... kayak, trek, ski, canoe, travel, guide clients on long distance trails, run, stare at maps and drink ridiculous amounts of tea!

Best experience at AWCC: Every time people from taster sessions become regulars.

When I'm not climbing I... mostly create spreadsheets.

When I'm not climbing I... climb. No sometimes I sleep, eat cake, travel, walk my tortoise, feed my dog, spend time with family, the bf and friends.

Best climbing experience: Main Wall on Cyrn Las with Helen. An amazing adventurous route that covers some outstanding ground at an accessible grade.

Best experience at AWCC: Setting reachy routes ;)
